Cramps are a very common complaint, especially in middle–aged and older people. They often occur at night or when a person is resting and can be extremely painful. This can lead to disturbed sleep and wakeful nights.

I have heard that exercise can relieve most difficulties with the legs at bed time.  I also drink at least 5 cups of green tea during the day (not decaff) as I read a long time ago that this helps, and found it really does.
