Wouldn’t it be nice if you could just take a break from life to really devote the time, effort, & energy to achieve your goals? I mean, who has time to reach for big things when you have a job that takes up so much of your time, bills to pay, children or family or friend issues to contend with; and then there is romance and shopping and getting the car fixed and cleaning and laundry and…
Honestly, who has the time?!
Well, anyone that has done anything amazing, worthwhile or sub par, was working with the same hours in the day that you do. That is pretty much the only common denominator that we all share. Some people have more money, a better education, superior connections etc.. Still, the one thing we all share is the 24 hours that we get each day. How are you spending yours?
If you find yourself caught up in day-to-day to-dos without having your eye on where you want to be, then you will never get there. So wherever you are right now, no matter what challenges you are currently facing, begin to step into the shoes of the person you are committed to becoming. Do you desire a healthy and fit body? Then move, walk & talk as if it already is yours. Are you looking to meet the significant other of your dreams or transform your relationship into a romance and partnership that you have always dreamed of? Then start being what a person like that would be attracted to now.
How about more money? Do you want to start a business of your own? Get a promotion, raise, or different job? Then find someone that has already done it and model them. Ask them how they did it. Read biographies of the people you wish to emulate. The library can be a cost-effective way to get you going.
As you make improvements on yourself (set & review your goals regularly, read & listen to material that will give you the knowledge & help you need, align yourself with positive, productive people and shake off the energy suckers) you will be moving closer to the you that you really wish to become.
With focus, gratitude, and consistent action you will be taken to where you wish to be.
